Let's Talk Radiation Rash (again)

Updated: Feb 17

As you all know, I often discuss Radiation Rash and Radiation Burn, as it has been a significant challenge for me. That is why I am vocal about sharing what has helped me manage it. When I was diagnosed with brain cancer, I delved into research and decided to eliminate products containing harmful chemicals from my routine. One switch I made was to Native deodorant and shampoo, opting for a more natural approach that I believed would be gentler on my body.

According to the National Library of Medicine, Calendula, derived from the marigold family, has shown promise in both lab and clinical settings for treating and preventing radiation-induced skin issues. While results may vary, many clinical studies, including those referenced by the National Library of Medicine, suggest its effectiveness. For instance, it's noted to be particularly beneficial for preventing acute dermatitis in breast cancer patients undergoing postoperative irradiation.

Feeling confident in my research, I have explored natural remedies further to aid in my radiation treatment. I have already tried an excellent product from DermaVitality, which I enthusiastically endorse (check it out HERE). You can find more about it on my YouTube channel linked HERE. Stay tuned, as I will be testing out more products in the coming weeks and sharing my reviews.
